SCC

To increase the safety performance in the chemical industry a safety checklist for contractors was developed. It showed that accidents and incidents mainly occur during stops and maintenance activities. The SCC should help contractors to implemnt a safety system which prevent accidents and incidents. Nowadays SCC is used in the chemical industry, metallic industry, Construction industry but also in logistics (e.g. exceptional transport, cranes, assembly, removals).

The SCC can be used in three variances, depending on the activites:

  • SCC*: control of SHE during works, no subcontracting
  • SCC**: control of SHE during works and the SHE struture (including subcontracting)
  • SCC-Petrochemical: SCC** plus specific requirements for petrochemical industries.

Besides the SCC, specific standards were developed for Dutch Railworks (BTR Railinfra), a SCC standard for temporary employment agencies, SCC for principals.
